Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 8, 2026

Who we are

ScreenshotWhale (https://screenshotwhale.com) is operated by Swaynt LLC, 75 E 3rd St, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. For anything related to your data, contact us at support@swaynt.com.

What we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use these to create and identify your account.
  • Content you upload. Screenshots, images, app metadata, and project data you create in the editor or the App Projects workspace. This content is stored so you can return to your work.
  • Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we store only your Stripe customer reference, subscription status, and plan.
  • Usage analytics. We use a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool (Umami). It records page views, referrers, browser type, and country. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across other sites.
  • Server logs. Standard technical logs (IP address, request time, user agent) kept for security and debugging, rotated automatically.

How we use your data

  • To provide the service: rendering, storing, and exporting your projects.
  • To process subscriptions and enforce plan limits.
  • To power AI features: when you use AI generation or translation, the relevant content (e.g. your screenshots or store listing text) is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to produce the result. It is not used by us to train models.
  • To respond to support requests you send us.
  • To understand aggregate usage of the site (cookieless analytics).

Legal bases under the GDPR: performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interest (security, aggregate analytics), and consent where required.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the processors that make the service work:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Google / Firebase — sign-in authentication.
  • Cloudflare — image storage and delivery.
  • OpenAI — AI generation features, only for the content you submit to those features.
  • Contabo GmbH (Germany) — server hosting. Application data is stored on servers in the European Union.

Retention

Your account and project data are kept while your account exists. If you delete your account (or ask us to), we delete your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons (e.g. invoices).

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email support@swaynt.com from the address linked to your account. If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Children

ScreenshotWhale is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you by email or an in-app notice.
